The dive locations are the Cathedrals and Caves off the coast of Lanai. Excellent dives at both locations. The dives range from 50' to 70' in depth. You will dive with the Manta Rays, Dolphins, Turtles. The reefs are very colorful. Needless to say the dive locations are teaming with marine life. Extended Horizons provides all the gear and refreshments. This dive charter comes highly recommended. Extended Horizons takes you to new depths with their afternoon 2 tank ship wreck dive. Just south of Lahaina under 95 feet of water lies the Carthaginian, a replica of a 1900 century whaling ship. Sunk in 2004 to create an artificial reef this historical whaling vessel again draws us back to the sea. Explore the depths of this wonder and behold the world underwater. Sense the Carthaginian was sunk the reef grown into colorful coral teeming with a variety of marine life. Extended Horizon's offers this amazing dive on Thursday's only. Our price includes all the gear. Please note that this dive isn't for the diver who is fresh out of dive school. That makes this a perfect choice for people who would like to experience scuba diving. They give you a short class on diving on the way out to Molokini. For the certified divers on this charter they will dive at Molokini and Turtle Town (2-tanks). The intro divers are free to snorkel after their dive is complete at Molokini. The depths of the dives with this charter vary from about 40' to 50' for both the certified diver and the intro diver. This is a great charter for those who haven't dove in awhile and would like to get back into the water as well as for beginner who would like to explore the underwater world of Molokini. The Maui Diamond II also provides all the gear and departs from Maalaea Harbor daily at 7.00am. They return at noon. Remote, untamed; a North shore Maui diving charter that will take you to the wild, unexplored and unspoiled dive sites of Maui. North Shore Explorers is the only Maui dive charter that explores the North shore of Maui. There is no set Maui dive site on any given day. North Shore Explorers range of dive sites ventures from Molokai to the West, all of the North shore and Keanae to the South. Dive sites depend on weather, divers' preference or Captain's choice. All dive sites explore the unknown side of the island so remote that until now the only way access to them was to those willing to scale towering cliffs and brave pounding surf. Most certainly a journey into the far reaches of the ocean natural resources of Maui that few will ever experience with an incredible Maui dive operator. To realize this incredible range of Maui diving sites, North Shore Explorers understood a special vessel was required to handle the rougher seas on the more exposed side of Maui. And special definitely describes the Pailolo (crazy seas). The Pailolo is a 30' former Navy Seal RIB (Rigid Hull Inflatable-Zodiac style boat) with twin 300 HP Turbo Diesel engines with Jet Drive. With this type of engine there are no propellers to worry about. The Pailolo has retained much of her Navy hardware, but also has been completely overhauled and modernized with the latest electronics and safety equipment geared specifically for diving. The RIB is the considered to be the 4 x 4 of the sea which why the Navy SEALS rely on them. The Pailolo is custom fitted for diving. Easy on/off, just step off the back swim step through the archway and return on a custom built dive ladder. The onboard adjustable tank racks can handle everything from Rebreathers to Doubles. North Shore Explorers includes the best safety equipment aboard the Pailolo including: E-pirb w/GPS-category 1, auto-deploy. GPS Radar Forward looking sonar Sea Marshall dive locator system, including individual locator units for each diver. O2, AED and first aid. Mustang auto inflate hydrostatic life vests. Scuba Tips Whether you are a beginner or the avid diver there are some thing to remember about Scuba Diving. Please do not schedule any event above 800' after diving for at least 24 hours after your dive. This includes flying, helicopters, driving to Haleakala or biking down Haleakala. If you are a beginner and this looks like fun please consider your physical health. The dive charter will have you fill out a health questionnaire and some of the following health problems will keep you from diving. They will not allow you to dive if you suffer from asthma, heart problems, and any lung disorder. The common cold or a hang over as well as any ear problems will keep you from diving. Expectant mothers should not consider scuba diving. Certified divers should remember to bring your dive cards to Maui. It is a hassle to try and get a copy of your certification faxed to your resort from PADI or NAUI before your dive trip. We can do it, but it's hard to do. Please remember that all dive charters require your card for any 2-tank dive.
