Why you do not need Premium Seating
The general seating has plenty really good seats. The trick is to arrive early. The second row of tables is every bit as good as the premium seating.
With the stage elevated over 5' above the ground there is nothing blocking the view of the stage. The table arrangement also lends to having good views from the second row as they are staggered between the tables in front. Seating is first come, first serve for all seating styles, so arrive early!

Finally, experience the true meaning of "Ohana" or family as you are invited to join in and dance the "Tamure".

The Grand Wailea offers an exceptional beach side luau on the Molokini lawn. Honua'ula takes us back to a time when the mighty seafaring Polynesians discovered this land of Hawaii. From thereafter the Polynesians have been known as Hawaiians, the people of Hawaii. This unique Polynesian Revue touches upon the documented voyages of La'amaikahiki and Moikeha who first came to the Island we now call Maui, specifically this area in present day Wailea once known as Honua'ula. The story of the Hawaiian people is brought to life through dance and chant that speaks of gods and goddesses who watched over these courageous people enabling them to co-exist as one with the land and live in harmony.

Pele, the goddess of fire is described as one who came prior to the arrival of the Polynesians, paving the way with her lava so there would be land sufficient for the Hawaiians to live. Lilinoe, the goddess of the mist was said to linger above sending cool rains to nourish the lands.

The mermaid of Maui, Kananaka, swooned near the surfers and tried to capture them for fun. The dance of Naulu is a love story - the goddess of the clouds could only visit her lover Kanaloa in the uplands that embraced the clouds of Ulupalakua.

These stories of ancient Hawaii create an exciting evening of traditional chant and hula that bring the history of Maui to life. Enjoy an evening of magical enchantment at Honua'ula and discover the culture, history and legends Hawaii.

The Honua'ula Luau begins this fun filled evening with ancient Hawaiian games and crafts from local artisans, a photo opportunity and the Imu Ceremony. Photos can be purchased after the conclusion of the luau.

Maui Luau Guide
First time to Hawaii? Then enjoying a luau should be a must on your list of things to do. They're fun and since all the luaus are an evening event it will not interfere with any activities that are scheduled during the day. A luau is a good way to begin to understand and realize what the Hawaiian culture is all about. 'The Spirit of Aloha" that reigns at all the luaus may just keep you coming back for more and more. Or as they say in Hawaiian, 'Hana Hou".
