This charter is sponsored by Pacific Whale Foundation and has all the features of a world class Lanai dolphin snorkel trip. This adventure offers a continental breakfast and a BBQ lunch. All the snorkel gear is provided. A Maui snorkel 101 is offered in the main cabin on the way to Lanai for beginners. The Ocean Discovery stops at two snorkel sites and provides you with the hands on reef tour that has become their standard of excellence. They also extend to you a free reef guide and marine life watching guides along with a poster from the acclaimed marine artist Robert Lynn Nelson. This is one of the few family trips to Lanai that is reasonable in price. They do a great job with this and let's all remember that they are the eco-environmental leaders in the State of Hawaii and non-profit. Kind of leaves you with a warm feeling. The dolphins swimming on both sides of the boat make this a day you will always remember. Bring plenty of film for your camera for this trip.
The current schedule for the Ocean Discovery is checking in at 7.15am with a 8.00am departure at the Pacific Whale Foundation Store located at 612 Front Street in Lahaina. Pacific Whale Foundation staff will escort you to the slip for departure. The return time is 1.00pm.
During whale watching season the check in time for this event may change. The time may back down by 1 hour. We will detail any changes, if any in your e-mail confirmation.
This dolphin encounter is one of the most popular on Maui. Advance reservations of at least 7 days advance notice for this Maui snorkeling adventure are required.

Best value of any charter. This charter is sponsored by Pacific Whale Foundation, the eco-environmental leaders in the State of Hawaii. So not only will you have fun and be happy, but you will come back educated as well. This charter is very unique in the fact that they go to Molokini and Lanai. So you get the mystic of Molokini and the turtles and dolphins of Lanai.
Away from all the crowds, with more color in the reef and lots of marine life the mooring location for this charter is perfect. After Molokini, Ocean Voyager moves on to Lanai. Here you get to snorkel with the Green Sea Turtles. At this location because Pacific Whale Foundation is the eco-environmental leader, they get out in the water with you and give you a hands on reef tour of the area and tell you about everything you are seeing. They are the only charter that does this. Kind of neat, don't you think? After everyone is worn out the Voyager does a dolphin encounter before departing Lanai. Pacific Whale Foundation also offers at no charge marine life watching guides and a poster from the acclaimed marine artist Robert Lynn Nelson. Pretty cool huh? The return time is about 3.00pm.
Some of the features of this adventure are a continental breakfast, BBQ lunch, and all the gear. The Voyager also has a large main cabin with two restrooms and a fresh water shower.
The current schedule for the Ocean Voyager is checking in at 7.45am with an 8.30am departure. The check in for this is at the Pacific Whale Foundation store in the Maalaea Harbor shops next to the Maui Ocean Center. The Whale Foundation staff will escort you to the slip for departure. The return time is 3.00pm.
During whale watching season the check in time for this event may change. The time may back down by 1 hour. We will detail any changes, if any in your e-mail confirmation.
This event is very popular. Ocean Voyager requires at least 2 weeks advance reservations!

This is an adventure for those who want to have a lot of fun. The Explorer is a very large raft 48' in length. It is the only raft that has an onboard restroom. Quick, doesn't take this boat long to reach Lanai. The Explorer offers two snorkel sites, one off the boat along the coast of Lanai and several hours on the beach at Manele Bay. Continental breakfast on the way over and a deli style picnic on the beach give this trip an added twist. Beachcombing, snorkeling or a peek at the Lodge at Manele are just a few of the options. All the snorkel gear is provided by the Maui Nui Explorer. This charter departs Lahaina Harbor twice a day on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. The first departure is at 7.00am and returns at 1.15pm. The second departure is at 9.30am and returns at 4.15pm. This is a very good outing for those looking for adventure. I would also recommend this event for families as well.
This adventure can be enjoyed on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays only.

This is by far the best rafting trip Maui has to offer. This is for the bold and the daring. Departing from Mala Wharf in Lahaina at 7.00am, this adventure returns about 2.00pm. Ocean Riders circle navigates the Island of Lanai. They offer a continental breakfast and a deli style lunch aboard the boat. Because the boat is a zodiac they move from place to place very quickly. They will snorkel three outstanding snorkel sites on the back side of Lanai. Some of the highlights of this adventure are the sea caves, ship wreck beach and remote coast line of Lanai that few will ever enjoy. They also do a stop on a deserted beach and let you stretch your legs for awhile before continuing on with the journey. This is a one of a kind adventure and is for those who seek something out of the ordinary. This is an outstanding journey to the other side of Lanai.
Closed Sundays.

Lanai Tips
Anything to do with Lanai is so much better than Molokini. Why you ask? Well considering there are very few charters that venture to Lanai that means there are a lot less people and the reefs have not been spoiled. If you have only one snorkel trip that you can enjoy, please try the Lanai trip, you'll be glad you did.
All the Lanai trips depart from Lahaina because it is closer to the Island and doesn't take very long to journey across the channel. For those who are staying in West Maui it is a very short drive to the harbor in Lahaina. For those staying in South Maui it is worth the drive.
Most people who look at these dolphin adventures ask if the charter boats will allow you to swim with the dolphins. Please remember that most of the charters on Maui are very eco friendly and will not allow any person to jump out of the boat into a pod of dolphins. Besides the dolphins of Lanai and Maui are on the endangered species list and the charters would face a lot of unwanted trouble for allowing anyone in the water with them. However there are no laws that states the dolphins can't swim up to you and give you the thrill of your life. If this happens enjoy the moment and hope that your underwater camera still has film in it for it is a very special moment. A moment you will always treasure. The dolphins are always very active so you won't be disappointed.
