Nestled up against the Pali Cliffs provides a splendid backdrop and calm waters for the adventure. A on board water slide provides fun for every one through out the afternoon. The Four Winds II provides all the snorkel gear. The Four Winds II offers a BBQ for an addition fee. The fee is $7.00 and includes a choice of hot dog, hamburger or garden burgers. Juice, soda and water are available through out the afternoon. The BBQ lunch is provided with advance reservations only. Snuba has become a very popular while snorkeling in Maui. There are very few Maui charter boats than offer Snuba. The Four Winds II offers Snuba at an extra charge on board. The rate is $49.00 per person plus tax. Because of its popularity the Maui Fun Company has a selection on the reservation page that allows you to reserve your tanks for Snuba. We do not collect the fee for this. We simply reserve your tanks and you pay direct on board the Four Winds II. You are not obligated to pay for the Snuba if you decide Snuba is not something you wish to do. Snuba is scuba diving without the tanks. The tanks rest on a raft on the surface. A 15 foot line connects you to the tank. Snuba 101 is provided aboard the charter to all those who wish to enjoy it. Maui Snorkeling Tips In the winter the waters appear to feel a little cooler than the summer months and when you are out snorkeling at 8.am it can get a little chilly to say the least. We have found that from November through March that the afternoon snorkel charters afford more comfort for families. Plus you don't have to leave your resort at the crack of dawn and feeling a little chilly as you motor out to Molokini. And this is a good thing. Please note that it is a rare occasion if an afternoon snorkel trip makes it to Molokini. They all use Coral Gardens in the afternoon. The reason for this is the winds kick up the swells and the channel becomes to rough. Most people get sick, so they opt for somewhere else. Good choice on this. These charters are a lot of fun. The Pride is a family hit. Blue Water Rafting is quite the adventure. If you are planning your vacation during the off season you may be able to snag a deal by scheduling the 4-hour trip. More than a few times they will have both events scheduled and then one will not have enough people to go out. When this happens they upgrade the 4-hour trip to the 5 1/2 hour adventure. You just may slide into a real bargain here. The off season months in Maui are September, October, November the first 3 weeks of December and January. Go for it!
